Harris Regional Hospital in Sylva, NC, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for their 28-bed Medical Surgical Unit. Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg, Schedule: 12-hour shifts, PRN – As Needed.

About the Role

Join our 28-bed Medical Surgical Unit where you will provide compassionate care to patients alongside a dedicated team of Physicians, Advanced Practitioners, Registered Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants. With a 6:1 nurse-to-patient ratio, you will assess patient needs, administer treatments and ensure patient comfort and safety.

Responsibilities

• Accurately perform patient assessments and identify patient needs.
• Identify and initiate appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provide care appropriate to the condition and age of the patient.
• Execute timely and appropriate documentation related to medical necessity in the medical record.
• Complete and revise the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Conduct timely and accurate QI assessments.
