Job summary

Essentia Health is seeking a Med/Surg nurse in Fargo, ND. You will provide organized nursing care across the assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation continuum, joining a team focused on safe, high-quality patient care.

The role operates on a 0.9 FTE with Day/Night rotations and weekend/holiday coverage as described. Candidates must have BSN or ADN from an accredited program, current state RN licensure, and BCLS certification within one month of hire.

Qualifications

• BSN or ADN degree from an accredited school or college of nursing
• Current nursing licensure in state(s) of employment
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within one month

Our Ortho Unit Sees

• Complex total knee, hip, and shoulder post-op patients
• Generalized fracture post-op patients which could include pelvic, hip, etc.
• Medical and Surgical patients include COPD, abdominal pain/GI bleeds, hernia repairs, ENT procedures, and post-op urological patients.

Responsible for organizing and providing nursing care to patients through the process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Delegates aspects of care to other nursing personnel based upon their licensure, preparation, and job descriptions. Contributes to the meeting of the mission and goals of the facility and Essentia, and meets the requirements of the Joint Commission if applicable and/or other federal, state, and local regulatory or accrediting agencies

Education Qualifications

BSN or ADN degree from an accredited school or college of nursing

Certification/Licensure Requirements:
