Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for Med Surg General Surgery 3W on the night shift (7:00 pm–7:00 am), full-time 36 hours per week. You will apply the nursing process to deliver patient care, coordinate with other departments, and uphold patient rights and confidentiality.

Mercy offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus for new grads and $20,000 for RNs with 1+ years of experience, plus comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, PTO, and retirement plans.

Formación

• Active RN license in Missouri or compact state.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willing to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Hospital nursing experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care and ensure patient safety.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by direct care staff.
• Coordinate patient care with other departments while maintaining patient rights and confidentiality.

Schedule:Full-time | 36 hours/week

Shift: Night 7:00am- 7:00pm

Qualifications

Education:Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with one of the following:

• Associate Degree in Nursing
• Nursing Diploma
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Licensure:Must hold and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri or possess compact licensure, in accordance with state board of nursing regulations.

Experience:Previous hospital experience is preferred and may be required depending on the unit.

Certifications:

• Required:Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, or completion within 30 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education:BSN preferred
• Licensure:Additional state licensure or specialty certifications preferred
• Experience:Prior experience in specialty area or similar clinical setting

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Prolonged standing and walking throughout the shift
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
