Job summary

Ardent Health Services seeks a Day Shift, PRN Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse in Montclair, NJ. The role focuses on delivering high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced Med-Surg setting, including bariatrics and oncology patients.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and uphold patient-centered care principles. The position requires NLN-accredited nursing education, a minimum of 2 years’ acute care Med-Surg experience, and timely BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Must graduate from an NLN-accredited School of Nursing.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical medical/surgical experience in an acute care setting.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and ANA ethics.
• Assist with patient care planning and implementation in Med-Surg unit (Bariatrics/Oncology as applicable).

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse Medical/Surgical (Bariatrics/Oncology) will be responsible for providing nursing care within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards and assures awareness of ethical standards of practice as defined by the ANA code of ethics.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Must be a graduate of an NLN-accredited School of Nursing
• Must have a minimum of 2 years of clinical medical/surgical experience in an acute care setting
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements:

Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
