Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Mountainside Medical Center in Montclair, NJ is seeking a Night Shift, full-time Medical Surgical Charge Registered Nurse to lead the unit and ensure delivery of patient care.

You will supervise nursing staff, collaborate with the leadership team, and apply the nursing process to coordinate care. NJ RN license and BLS required; 1+ year Medical/Surgical staff RN experience; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing required.
• Licensed as an RN in the State of New Jersey.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• At least one year of experience as a Staff RN on a Medical/Surgical unit is required.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Charge Nurse—Medical/Surgical Unit has leadership responsibility and accountability for delivering nursing care using the nursing process.
• They are an extension of the leadership team and must conduct themselves as such.

• The Charge Nurse—Medical/Surgical Unit has the leadership skills, authority, responsibility, and shift accountability for the delivery of nursing care through the use of the nursing process.
