Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Mountainside Medical Center is seeking a night shift, full-time Medical Surgical Charge Registered Nurse in Montclair, NJ. The Charge RN leads nursing care on the Medical/Surgical unit, partnering with the leadership team to ensure high-quality patient care and efficient unit operations.

Qualifications include an Associate's Degree in Nursing, NJ RN licensure, BLS within 14 days of hire, and at least one year of Med-Surg Staff RN experience.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing required.
• Licensed as an RN in the State of New Jersey.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• At least one year of experience as a Staff RN on a Medical/Surgical unit is required.

Responsibilities

• The Charge Nurse—Medical/Surgical Unit has the leadership skills, authority, responsibility, and shift accountability for the delivery of nursing care through the use of the nursing process.
• They are an extension of the leadership team and must conduct themselves as such.
