Job summary

Ridges Hospital in Burnsville, MN is seeking a passionate Registered Nurse for our Med-Surg/Oncology unit. This .8 FTE position involves 8-hour evening shifts with every-other weekend rotation, providing growth opportunities in a collaborative team environment.

You will work on a 28-bed unit and participate in planning, delivering, and evaluating patient care with a focus on evidence-based practice and continuous learning.

Qualifications

• MN Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross) certification required.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in nursing and 1 year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient needs and identifies expected nursing outcomes.
• Collaborates with patient, family and other health team members to develop a nursing plan as part of an integrated, comprehensive plan of care
• Develops an individualized plan based on age, social and cultural considerations, condition and other relevant needs.
• Evaluates care and patient response to interventions and expected outcomes.
• Collaborates and communicates effectively and respectfully with the patient, family and members of the health care team within and across care settings to promote partnership-based health care
• Demonstrates the ability to advance care by utilizing standards, guidelines, care pathways and continuous improvement to enhance patient outcomes.
• Promotes a culture of evidence based practice (EBP)

Schedule:

This role is a .8 FTE (64 hours every 2 weeks) working 8-hour evening shifts, with every other weekend rotation. Variable weekday schedule.
