Job summary

Spring Creek Care Center in Millcreek, Utah is seeking a Part Time Evening RN (6pm–10pm) to join a compassionate nursing and rehabilitation team. The RN will prepare, administer, and document medications and treatments, monitor responses, and ensure accurate medication storage and safety.

The ideal candidate holds an active RN license in Utah, can read and interpret clinical information in English, and has the physical ability to perform required tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Must have full range of motion and physical ability to perform nursing tasks.
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs as required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, administer, and document medications, tests, treatments, and IV lines.
• Record time spent performing treatments on the medication/treatment record.
• Ensure proper storage and security of drugs per facility policies.
• Notify physician of refusals, non-compliance, or adverse reactions.
• Maintain tidy medication cart, refrigerator, and storage areas.
• Assist in orientation and training of new nursing staff.
• Practice infection control and safety policies and procedures.

What You'll Do

• Prepare, administer, and document medications, tests, treatments, and IV lines
• Record time spent performing individual treatments, in accordance with ancillary services policy, on the medication/treatment record
• Ensure proper storage and security of drugs and biologicals in accordance with facility policies and procedures
• Notify the physician of refusal of medication/treatments, non-compliance with a treatment plan, and resident response to medication regime with prompt notification to the physician of any adverse reactions
• Keeps medication cart, refrigerator, and room neat, clean, and medication stored properly/disposing
• Assist in the orientation and training of new nursing personnel, as required
• Practice, implement, and supervise Infection Control, Universal Precaution, and safety policies and procedures

What We're Looking For

• Current active license as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment
• Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical information in the English language
• Full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients
• Ability to stand for long periods of time as well as lift/push/pull 50lbs
• Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to ensure that the requirements of this position can be fully met
• Experience in long term geriatric nursing care preferred
