Job summary

Spring Creek Care Center in Millcreek, Utah, is seeking an Activities Staff member to run engaging programs for residents in long-term and short-term care. You will lead activities, tailor plans to abilities, and work with the Activity Director to create meaningful experiences.

Requirements include a high school diploma and fluency in English; TRS/TRT certification is preferred. Prior geriatric activity experience is valued, with a commitment to safety and respectful care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1 year of experience in long-term geriatric care is preferred.
• TRS or TRT certification is preferred.
• Ability to read, speak, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Identify and support residents' preferences, routines, and needs; communicate updates to the care team.
• Lead individual and group activities aligned with residents' interests and abilities.
• Adapt activities to meet cognitive and physical levels using prompts, demonstrations, and assistance.
• Encourage participation while respecting cultural and religious preferences.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe activity spaces.
• Store equipment and supplies properly after use.
• Collaborate with the Activity Director on programming and planning.
• Complete additional duties as assigned.

What we're looking for:

• Ability to read, speak, and understand English
• High school diploma (or equivalent)
• TRS or TRT certification preferred
• At least 1 year of experience in long-term geriatric care
• Experience leading or supporting activities preferred
• May be exposed to bodily fluids and communicable illnesses
• Full range of motion; able to lift, push, or pull up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
• Adequate vision and hearing (with or without assistive devices)
• Meets facility health and screening requirements
