Job summary

Spring Creek Care Center in Millcreek, Utah is seeking an Activities Staff member for full-time days to engage residents through individualized and group activities.

You will lead activities, adapt to cognitive and physical abilities, and collaborate with the care team to support residents' well-being. A high school diploma and experience in geriatric care are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience in long-term geriatric care preferred.
• Experience leading or supporting activities preferred.
• TRS or TRT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and support residents' preferences, routines, and needs; communicate updates to the care team.
• Lead individual and group activities aligned with residents' interests and abilities.
• Adapt activities to meet cognitive and physical levels using prompts, demonstrations, and assistance.
• Encourage participation while respecting cultural and religious preferences.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe activity spaces.
• Collaborate with the Activity Director on programming and planning.

What You'll Do

• Identify and support each resident's preferences, routines, and needs; communicate updates to the care team

• Adapt activities to meet cognitive and physical levels using prompts, demonstrations, and assistance
• Encourage participation while respecting cultural and religious preferences
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe activity spaces
• Store equipment and supplies properly after use
• Collaborate with the Activity Director on programming and planning
• Complete additional duties as assigned

What We're Looking For

• Ability to read, speak, and understand English
• High school diploma (or equivalent)
• TRS or TRT certification preferred
• At least 1 year of experience in long-term geriatric care
• Experience leading or supporting activities preferred
• May be exposed to bodily fluids and communicable illnesses
• Full range of motion; able to lift, push, or pull up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
• Adequate vision and hearing (with or without assistive devices)
• Meets facility health and screening requirements
