Sunny Ridge in Nampa, Idaho, is hiring a Registered Nurse for fulltime evening shifts (Fridays through Tuesdays, 2pm-10pm). The role involves administering medications, coordinating care, and supporting a geriatric population in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation community.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare, administer, and document medications, tests, treatments, and IV lines.
• Record time spent performing individual treatments, in accordance with policy.
• Ensure proper storage and security of drugs and biologicals.
• Notify physician of adverse reactions and non-compliance with treatment plans.
• Keep medication cart, refrigerator, and room neat and properly stored.
• Assist in the orientation and training of new nursing personnel.
• Practice, implement, and supervise Infection Control and safety policies.

Schedule - Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday 2pm-10pm

What you'll do:

• Prepare, administer, and document medications, tests, treatments, and IV lines
• Record time spent performing individual treatments, in accordance with ancillary services policy, on the medication/treatment record
• Ensure proper storage and security of drugs and biologicals in accordance with facility policies and procedures
• Notify the physician of refusal of medication/treatments, non-compliance with a treatment plan, and resident response to medication regime with prompt notification to the physician of any adverse reactions
• Keeps medication cart, refrigerator, and room neat, clean, and medication stored properly /disposing
• Assist in the orientation and training of new nursing personnel, as required
• Practice, implement, and supervise Infection Control, Universal Precaution, and safety policies and procedures

What we're looking for:

• Ability to stand ofr long periods of time as well as lift/push/pull 50lbs
• Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to ensure that the requirements of this position can be fully met
• Experience in long term geriatric nursing care preferred
