Job summary

Starr Regional Health and Rehab in Athens, TN is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for long-term care. The 12‑hour shifts involve assessing patients, planning care, administering medications, and coordinating with the care team.

Responsibilities include documenting care, monitoring patient status, aiding with daily living activities, and educating families while advocating for patient well‑being. TN RN license and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Current Tennessee Registered Nurse license.
• Basic Life Support certification required at time of hire.

• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluate learning needs of patient and/or family and provide education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
