Job summary

Registered Nurse (RN), Long Term Care

Job Type: Full-Time | Nights (7pm - 7am) rotating weekends.

Sign‑On Bonus: $20,000 available for qualified applicants.

How You'll Contribute
  • Perform initial and ongoing assessments of patients’ condition.
  • Establish a plan of care addressing identified problems and involving the patient according to preferences.
  • Supervise and mentor nursing and support staff during the assigned shift.
  • Assist in determining staffing levels and assignments based on availability, abilities, census, patient acuity and flow.
  • Provide direct patient care as needed.
  • Float between staff to assist with problem solving.
  • Takes patient assignments to meet staffing needs.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of patient care and identify issues affecting desired outcomes.
  • Respond to complaints about patient care and related services and manage through established channels.
  • Perform role‑specific duties as assigned, including entering orders, performing admissions or discharges, and coordinating transfers.
  • Ensure staff has necessary equipment and supplies to provide safe, quality patient care.

What We're Looking For
  • Education: Associate’s degree required. BSN preferred.
  • Required Skills: Critical thinking, decisive judgment, ability to work with minimal supervision and in a stressful environment.
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) at time of hire; Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 6 months of hire or department transfer.
  • Licenses: Licensed Registered Nurse with the State of Tennessee or a Compact State RN with proper Tennessee paperwork filed within 30 days of hire.
