RWJBarnabas Health's Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, NJ is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a 12.5-hour night shift on the Labor & Delivery unit. This full-time role offers 37.5 hours per week and a supportive team focused on safety and continuous improvement.

You will perform assessments, administer medications, document in EPIC, educate patients and families, and collaborate with physicians to ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
Active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing.
Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
BSN preferred; NRP certification and prior patient care experience are a plus.
Comfort with EPIC and EMR systems.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes.
Administer safe, evidence-based medications and hands-on care.
Partner with physicians and providers to support timely, well-coordinated care decisions.
Educate patients and families clearly, so they are informed and prepared for the next phase of care.
Document accurately in the electronic medical record to promote continuity and safety.
Contribute during rounds to improve communication and transitions of care.

To be considered for this RN opportunity, you must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing, hold an active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing, and a current American Heart Association BLS certification. A bachelor’s degree in nursing, NRP certification, as is prior patient care experience and comfort with electronic medical record systems (EMR) like EPIC. This position offers a full-time schedule on the night shift and 12.5-hour shifts at 37.5 weekly hours. Biweekly weekends are required, allowing you to build strong patient relationships while maintaining balance.
