Job summary

Talented Medical Solutions seeks a Travel Registered Nurse (RN) for Labor & Delivery—Nights, covering an 8-bed unit in a rural Texas setting. You will manage labor, delivery, recovery, postpartum, and newborn care, with responsibilities spanning intrapartum management, fetal monitoring, and newborn stabilization.

Ideal candidates hold RN licensure with BLS/ACLS/NRP and experience in LDRP; AWHONN monitoring and STABLE are preferred.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required.
• BLS, ACLS (AHA or ARC) and NRP certifications required.
• AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring and STABLE preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Labor & Delivery.
• Ability to circulate C-sections and titrate Pitocin.
• Fetal monitoring interpretation skills required.

Responsibilities

• Full-scope LDRP RN duties in Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum, and newborn care in an 8-bed unit.
• Provide intrapartum management including induction/augmentation and high-risk labor monitoring.
• Stabilize newborns and participate in NRP.
• Transition between labor, nursery, and couplet assignments based on census and staffing needs.

General Comments

Full-scope LDRP RN responsible for providing care in Labor &Delivery, Newborn Nursery, and Postpartum/Couplet Care in an 8-bed unit.

RN must be competent in intrapartum management (including induction/augmentation, high-risk labor monitoring, fetal heart rate interpretation, and circulating C-sections), immediate newborn stabilization and NRP participation, routine newborn assessments, and postpartum/couplet care for stable mother and infants.

Must be able to function independently in a low-volume, high-acuity rural setting and transition between labor, nursery, and couple assignments based on census and staffing needs.
