Job summary

Talented Medical Solutions seeks a skilled RN for a travel Labor & Delivery assignment in Granbury, TX. The nurse will cover Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum, and newborn care in an 8-bed unit, with 1:1 labor and 3:1 couplet ratios.

Requirements include RN licensure, BLS/ACLS, NRP, and 2 years' L&D experience; the role requires C-section circulation and fetal monitoring interpretation; travel distance must be >50 miles from facility.

Qualifications

• RN licensure is required.
• BLS and ACLS are required (AHA or ARC).
• NRP certification required.
• Fetal monitoring interpretation skills required.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in Labor & Delivery.
• Ability to circulate C-sections and titrate Pitocin.
• Preferred: AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring and STABLE; LDRP experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-scope LDRP care in an 8-bed unit (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum, and Newborn).
• Manage intrapartum care, including induction/augmentation and high-risk labor monitoring.
• Perform newborn stabilization and participate in NRP; routine newborn assessments.
• Transition between labor, nursery, and couple assignments based on census and staffing needs.

REQUIREMENTS:

General Comments

Full-scope LDRP RN responsible for providing care in Labor &Delivery, Newborn Nursery, and Postpartum/Couplet Care in an 8-bed unit. RN must be competent in intrapartum management (including induction/augmentation, high-risk labor monitoring, fetal heart rate interpretation, and circulating C-sections), immediate newborn stabilization and NRP participation, routine newborn assessments, and postpartum/couplet care for stable mother and infants. Must be able to function independently in a low-volume, high-acuity rural setting and transition between labor, nursery, and couple assignments based on census and staffing needs.
