Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is seeking a night shift, full-time Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse in Westwood, NJ. The RN will function as a caregiver for a specific patient population, coordinate care among nursing peers, physicians and support services, and report to the Nurse Manager.

Required qualifications include NJ RN license (or multistate), NLN/AACN‑accredited nursing program, ACLS, BLS within 14 days, and active NRP.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) with New Jersey Board of Nursing or multistate license from the NCL required.
• Graduate of an NLN/AACN-accredited program in nursing.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program Certification (NRP) required.
• 1–2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience required.
• Able to complete AWHONN Electronic Fetal Monitoring Course within 6 months of hire.

• This position directs and oversees the care provided by other caregivers through delegation, validation, evaluation, and coordination.
• This position effectively coordinates patient care/unit activities among nursing peers, physicians and support services.
• The RN Staff Nurse reports to the Nurse Manager.

Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is a 128-bed, full-service, acute-care community hospital with a new emergency department, a state-of-the-art maternity center, a women's imaging center, and an ICU.
