Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is seeking a night shift Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse in Westwood, NJ. The RN will support a designated patient population and lead care coordination across teams to ensure safe, quality outcomes.

Required: NJ RN license, ACLS, BLS, NRP, 1-2 years L&D experience, and AWHONN fetal monitoring training within 6 months. Competitive benefits and a supportive environment are offered.

Get to Know Your Team:

• Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is a 128-bed, full-service, acute-care community hospital with a new emergency department, a state-of-the-art maternity center, a women's imaging center, and an ICU.

Responsibilities:

• The RN Staff Nurse functions as a caregiver for a specific patient population in order to achieve desired outcomes.
• This position directs and oversees the care provided by other caregivers through delegation, validation, evaluation, and coordination.
• This position effectively coordinates patient care/unit activities among nursing peers, physicians and support services.
• The RN Staff Nurse reports to the Nurse Manager.

Qualifications:

Job Requirements:

• Registered Nurse (RN) with New Jersey Board of Nursing or an RN Multistate License from the NCL required.
• Graduate of an NLN/AACN-accredited program in nursing
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program Certification (NRP) required.
• 1-2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience required
• Able to complete AWHONN Electronic Fetal Monitoring Course within 6 months of hire.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• OB nursing certification
• EFM certification

Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
