Job summary

Centerpoint Health - Winchester is seeking an Infusion RN for a PRN role to support patient care in our infusion services. The position requires an active RN license and a nursing degree from an accredited program, plus BLS certification.

The role involves performing plan-of-care interventions, medication administration, and coordinating with the care team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes. Weekend and 8a-4:30p shifts may be involved, with 4 shifts required in a 6-week cycle.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license required.
• Degree from accredited nursing school.
• BLS required.
• KY RN licensure or compact licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care intervention including medication administration and clinical treatments.
• Documents patient care given.
• Monitors and communicates patient condition to care team and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living and personal care.
• Coordinates patient care transfers, discharge, referrals and spiritual/psychosocial support.
• Provides patient/family education appropriate to age and condition.

Centerpoint Health - Winchester is a member of the UK Markey Cancer Center Affiliate Network. The affiliation allows patients to stay close to home while receiving care. How You'll Contribute

• Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
• Documents patient care given.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
