Job summary

OSF HealthCare seeks a Registered Nurse to support inpatient and emergency department care across our Illinois facilities. The role focuses on protecting, promoting and restoring health within 24/7 hospital units and requires strong collaboration with a multidisciplinary care team to ensure comprehensive care.

The RN will float to ICU and Intermediate Care (Stepdown) units with a schedule including two IMC shifts and one ICU shift per week.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse licensure by the state (Illinois or Michigan).
• BSN degree.
• Experience as an RN in a healthcare environment.
• Electronic Medical Record and Microsoft Office basic proficiency.
• AHA/Healthcare Provider BLS certification prior to start date.

Responsibilities

• Protects, promotes and restores health and wellness by practicing at the highest level of RN licensure.
• Collaborates with providers and multidisciplinary care teams to provide care coordination across the continuum.
• Assesses and supports physical symptoms, provides psychological support to patients, friends and families.
• RN will float to both ICU and Intermediate Care (Stepdown) units; shifts include IMC and ICU per week.

Pay range for this position is $34.25 - $51.13/hour. Actual pay is based on years of licensure. This is an Hourly position.

$20,000 for RNs with 1+ years of experience; 2 year work commitment to the department for external candidates

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: Protects, promotes and restores health and wellness by practicing at the highest level of the Registered Nurse licensure; collaborating with providers and multidisciplinary care team members to provide care coordination across the continuum. Assesses and supports physical symptoms, provides psychological support to patients, friends, and families, mentors assigned team members, promotes best practices, and maintains professional disposition at all times. The RN Hospital Inpatient/ED operates in units that provide 24/7 care in the hospital.

RN will float to both ICU department and Intermediate Care (Stepdown) unit. Two shifts on IMC and 1 shift in ICU per week.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• License/Certifications: Current Registered Nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing in appropriate state (Illinois or Michigan). Current American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS is required prior to start date of employment.
