Job summary

OSF HealthCare is seeking an ICU Registered Nurse at OSF St. Anthony's Health Center in Alton, IL. The ICU team delivers care for high-acuity patients in a fast-paced setting, collaborating with intensivists, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and case management to coordinate care 24/7.

New grads and experienced RNs alike are supported with education, teamwork, and hands-on learning. Magnet designation and a strong culture of safe, high-quality care are highlighted in this role.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse licensure in Illinois or Michigan.
• BLS HealthCare Provider certification required prior to start date.
• BSN preferred.
• Experience as an RN in a healthcare environment is preferred.
• Electronic Medical Record and Microsoft Office basic proficiency are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Care for complex, high-acuity patients in the ICU.
• Collaborate with intensivists, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, case management and interdisciplinary teams.
• Develop assessment skills and gain experience with advanced therapies and technology.

Pay range for this position is $34.25-51.13/hour. Actual pay is based on years of licensure. This is an Hourly position.

Shift Differentials

• 3rd shift - $4.00/hour


• Weekends - $3.25/hour

$12,500-20,000 Sign-On Bonus

(New Grads: $12,500, 1+ Years of Experience: $20,000)

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: Protects, promotes and restores health and wellness by practicing at the highest level of the Registered Nurse licensure; collaborating with providers and multidisciplinary care team members to provide care coordination across the continuum. Assesses and supports physical symptoms, provides psychological support to patients, friends, and families, mentors assigned team members, promotes best practices, and maintains professional disposition at all times. The RN Hospital Inpatient/ED operates in units that provide 24/7 care in the hospital.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience: Current Registered Nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing in appropriate state (Illinois or Michigan)


• Licensure/Certification: Current American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS is required prior to start date of employment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education: BSN


• Experience: Experience as an RN in a healthcare environment


• Other skills/knowledge: Electronic Medical Record and Microsoft application basic proficiency
