Job summary

OSF HealthCare is seeking a Registered Nurse for inpatient and ED hospital units in Illinois or Michigan. The RN will protect, promote and restore health, collaborating with providers and care teams to coordinate care across the continuum.

The role requires active RN licensure in Illinois or Michigan, BLS certification, and typically a BSN. EMR and Microsoft Office basics are expected, with a 24/7 hospital environment and strong patient advocacy.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse in Illinois or Michigan.
• Current American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS required.
• BSN preferred; Experience as an RN in a healthcare environment.
• Basic proficiency with Electronic Medical Records and Microsoft applications.

Responsibilities

• Care coordination across the continuum in collaboration with providers and care teams.
• Assess and support physical symptoms; provide psychological support to patients, families and friends.
• Mentor and support assigned team members; promote best practices and professional disposition.
• Operate in hospital inpatient/ED units providing 24/7 care.

Pay range for this position is $34.25 - $51.13/hour. Actual pay is based on years of licensure. This is an Hourly position.

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: Protects, promotes and restores health and wellness by practicing at the highest level of the Registered Nurse licensure; collaborating with providers and multidisciplinary care team members to provide care coordination across the continuum. Assesses and supports physical symptoms, provides psychological support to patients, friends, and families, mentors assigned team members, promotes best practices, and maintains professional disposition at all times. The RN Hospital Inpatient/ED operates in units that provide 24/7 care in the hospital.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• License/Certifications: Current Registered Nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing in appropriate state (Illinois or Michigan)
• Current American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS is required prior to start date of employment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education: BSN
• Experience: Experience as an RN in a healthcare environment
• Other skills/knowledge: Electronic Medical Record and Microsoft application basic proficiency
