Job summary

OSF HealthCare is seeking a Registered Nurse for Hospital Inpatient/ED coverage, providing care coordination and health promotion across the continuum. The role requires current RN licensure in Illinois or Michigan, and BLS certification. A BSN is preferred, with prior RN experience in a healthcare setting.

The position is full-time and on-site in a 24/7 hospital environment, with emphasis on teamwork, professional conduct, and using EMR systems effectively.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse licensure in Illinois or Michigan.
• American Heart Association BLS certification required before start date.
• BSN is preferred.
• Experience as an RN in a healthcare environment.
• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Record and basic Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and coordinate with the care team across units.
• Assess patients, support physical and psychological needs, and involve families.
• Mentor team members and maintain professional conduct.
• Operate in 24/7 hospital inpatient/ED settings.

Pay range for this position is $34.25 - $51.13/hour. Actual pay is based on years of licensure. This is an Hourly position.

$3.25 Weekend Differential

$4.00 Night Shift Differential

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: Protects, promotes and restores health and wellness by practicing at the highest level of the Registered Nurse licensure; collaborating with providers and multidisciplinary care team members to provide care coordination across the continuum. Assesses and supports physical symptoms, provides psychological support to patients, friends, and families, mentors assigned team members, promotes best practices, and maintains professional disposition at all times. The RN Hospital Inpatient/ED operates in units that provide 24/7 care in the hospital.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

License/Certifications: Current Registered Nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing in appropriate state (Illinois or Michigan)

Current American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS is required prior to start date of employment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: BSN

Experience: Experience as an RN in a healthcare environment

Other skills/knowledge: Electronic Medical Record and Microsoft application basic proficiency
