Job summary

Tanner Medical Center's CVICU is a six-bed cardiovascular critical care unit that provides specialized care for patients who have undergone open heart surgery, vascular or thoracic surgical procedures and require intensive monitoring and nursing observations. The Registered Nurse will perform nursing functions, supervise other RNs and licensed staff, and coordinate care per state regulations.

ICU experience is required; shifts are 12 hours, 7a-7p, with every other weekend and holiday rotation.

Qualifications

• ICU experience required.
• Georgia RN license or Multistate license.
• CPR certification required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse performs nursing functions and supervises other RNs, LPNs, and other assistive personnel in the performance of nursing care according to the state nurse practice act. The Registered Nurse assesses patient needs, plans and implements patient care, and evaluates the effectiveness of care provided.

• Healthcare Provider (CPR) or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• ACLS within 6 months of hire into ED, ICU, Surgery, PACU, L&D, SSU if taking GI call, or Cath Lab.
