Job summary

Havasu Regional Medical Center in Lake Havasu City, AZ is seeking an ICU RN to join a 16-bed unit with CVICU, MICU, Surgical, Neuro and Trauma care. The role offers a 3x12 schedule, rotating weekends and holidays, and a sign-on bonus up to $15,000 for eligible candidates.

You will deliver critical care with expert support from on-site intensivists by day and Tele-ICU at night, with opportunities for career advancement and comprehensive benefits for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• Arizona or Compact State RN license required; endorsement preferred.
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred.
• Minimum 1 year ICU experience preferred.
• BLS certification required and TNCC required within 6 months of hire.
• ACLS, PALS, CCRN and Handle with Care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage care of ICU patients including medications, ventilators, invasive monitoring, bedside procedures, rapid response, code team and trauma care.
• Collaborate with respiratory therapy, cath lab, OR, ED and other therapies (PT, OT, ST).
• Educate patients and/or families appropriate to age, culture, condition and circumstances.
• Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

Join a Small Unit with a Variety of Patients!

Our Intensive Care Unit or ICU unit is comprised of 16 beds including CVICU, MICU, Surgical, Neuro and Trauma (10-11 beds for CV/ICU Patients) with an open-heart program and STEMI receiving center.

How you'll contribute

A ICU RN who excels in this role:

• Manage care of ICU level patients including all critical care medications, ventilators, invasive monitoring devices, bedside procedures, rapid response and code team response, trauma RED response, and all other critical care needs.
• Works professionally in collaboration with other departments such as respiratory therapy, cardiac cath lab, operating room, emergency department and all other therapies (PT, OT, ST).
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current Arizona or Compact State RN license with Arizona endorsement and possess an Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

• Bachelor of Science (BSN) preferred
• Minimum of 1 year+ of ICU experience preferred
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required and TNCC required with 6 months of hire
• Certifications: ACLS, PALS, CCRN and Handle with Care preferred
