Job summary

Centerpoint - Georgetown, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking an Intensive Care Unit RN for the Nights shift. This Full-Time position features a 3x12 schedule from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.

with rotating weekends, and includes a $10,000 sign-on bonus. Join a 6-bed ICU delivering high-acuity care with a 2:1 nurse-to-patient ratio and dedicated teamwork. Applicants should hold a Kentucky RN license (or compact licensure) and an Associate Degree in Nursing, with BLS/ACLS/PALS within required timelines.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing is required.
• KY RN license or compact licensure is required.
• BLS within 10 days of hire; ACLS within 30 days; PALS within 45 days.

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care interventions including medication administration, specimens, treatments and other care tasks.
• Documents patient care given and monitors patient condition.
• Communicates patient status to care team, physician, patient and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Coordinates care with other disciplines and supports transfers, discharges, referrals and psychosocial needs.
• Provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, and condition.

The intensive care unit (ICU) is a 6-bed unit that provides specialized care for critically ill patients. The unit maintains a 2:1 nurse-to-patient ratio to ensure close monitoring, timely interventions, and high-quality patient care.

How You'll Contribute

An Intensive Care Unit RN who excels in this role:

• Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
• Documents patient care given.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

What We're Looking For

Applicants should have a current Kentucky or compact state RN license and possess an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 10 days of hire
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 30 days of hire
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 45 days of hire
• Handle With Care - within 30 days of hire
• Associates Degree in Nursing, required
• KY RN state licensure or compact licensure, required
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, preferred
