Job summary

Wythe County Community Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) - House Supervisor for the full-time night shift. You will oversee daily nursing operations, mentor staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and champion patient-centered care across departments.

This leadership role emphasizes visibility, accessibility, and support for frontline teams. Applicants should hold an active Virginia RN license (or compact) and have an Associate's Degree in Nursing.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license (single-state) or compact license.
• Associate's Degree in Nursing is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assumes shift accountability for hospital operations and provides direction to primary caregivers in patient-care areas.
• Acts as a clinical and administrative resource to staff.
• Coordinates and directs activities in emergency situations.
• Counsels and directs unit resource nurses and staff in provision of direct nursing care.
• Functions as a patient advocate.
• Investigates and resolves patient/customer and staff complaints.
• Assists in patient care.

You will oversee daily nursing operations, mentor and support staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and champion patient-centered care across departments. What we’re looking for:

Applicants should have an active Virginia RN license (single-state) or compact license. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.

Hourly Range:$38.30 - $51.70
