Wythe County Community Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for Post Acute Care on a 7p-7a shift with rotating weekends. The Skilled Nursing unit emphasizes safe patient outcomes, with a favorable nurse-to-patient ratio and strong support from the unit manager.

Requirements include an active Virginia RN license (or compact) and BLS within 30 days of hire. An Associate's Degree is required; Bachelor's preferred.

Skilled Nursing on an 8 bed Unit, with supportive nurse-to-patient ratio with a supportive manager that prioritizes patient safety and positive outcomes. Opportunities for learning/professional development and clinical ladder program. Flexibility in schedule that allows for continuing education or balance between work and personal life.

How you'll contribute

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments

What we're looking for

Applicants should have an active Virginia RN license (single-state) or compact license. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.

Additional requirements include:

• Associate's Degree Required; Bachelor's Degree Preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of hire
