Job summary

MedStar Health Home Care in the Washington, DC area is seeking an experienced Full-Time Home Health Registered Nurse (RN). Monday through Friday with one weekend per month requirement.

As part of a multidisciplinary home health team, you will assess patients, implement care plans, and coordinate with therapists, social workers, and aides to support healing at home. This role offers competitive benefits and opportunities to impact patient independence and quality of life.

Qualifications

• ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
• 1-2 years RN experience (ICU, CCU, Med-Surg, Oncology, Gerontology) within last 5 years required or 1-2 years Home health nursing experience preferred.
• Active DC RN License and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required (AHA or American Red Cross).

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled, compassionate care to patients and families across a spectrum of needs—from routine to highly complex.
• Assess evolving patient conditions, identify actual and potential health concerns, and develop appropriate care plans.
• Interventions may be delivered directly or coordinated through collaboration with other members of the home health nursing team.
