Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA is hiring a Part-Time Registered Nurse for the High-Risk Labor and Delivery Unit. This rotating shift role offers 24 hours per week and opportunities for growth in a Beacon Award-winning unit.

Qualified candidates will hold Virginia or compact multi-state RN license, BLS, NRP, and PALS within stated timeframes. L&D experience preferred; cross-training across scrub, circulate, recover, and labor/deliver enhances care delivery.

Qualifications

• RN license in Virginia or multi-state license in good standing.
• BLS within 90 days of hire.
• NRP within 6 months of hire.
• PALS within 6 months of hire.
• L&D experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Scrub, circulate, recover, and labor/deliver within a fast‑paced unit.
• Collaborate with physicians, staff, and residents to provide patient‑centered care.
• Support maternal‑child health and ongoing professional growth.

Position Available

Education

• RN-Associate’s Degree

• RN-Bachelor’s Degree

• RN-Master’s Degree

License / Certification

• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire

Experience

• Previous L & D experience preferred
