Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive obstetrical and surgical care to patients in a fast‑paced, high‑acuity environment.
• Cross‑train to scrub, circulate, recover, and labor/deliver as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians, resident physicians, maternal‑fetal medicine specialists, surgical techs, and administrative staff to provide seamless, patient‑centered care.
• Provide hands‑on learning opportunities and mentorship for resident physicians

Sentara Norfolk General is hiring a Full‑Time Registered Nurse for the High‑Risk Labor and Delivery Unit. This is a rotating shift position, 36 hours per week, scheduled on the Third (Night) shift.

Preferred applicants will have prior experience in Labor & Delivery and a sign‑on bonus of up to $15,000 is available for qualified candidates.

Position Details

Education

• RN – Associate’s Degree
• RN – Bachelor’s Degree
• RN – Master’s Degree

License / Certification

• Virginia or Compact Multi‑State License in good standing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within 6 months of hire
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 6 months of hire

Experience

• Previous Labor & Delivery experience preferred
