Job summary

Hartford HealthCare is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Step Down Medicine unit at Hartford Hospital in Hartford, CT. This full-time role focuses on caring for medical patients with acute or chronic conditions in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Required ASN with the plan to obtain BSN within six years, CT RN license, and BLS certification prior to hire. BSN preferred; location is Hartford, CT with the Medicine Svc B7E unit.

Responsibilities

• Utilize evidence-based practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act.
• Develop a plan of care addressing physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and educational needs.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams focused on patient-centered care.
• Provide care for critical care patients with interventions including cardiac drips and Bipap.
• Treat a full range of medical diagnoses with a strong respiratory focus.
