Job summary

Mercy Hospital Southeast in Cape Girardeau, MO seeks a Registered Nurse or Graduate Nurse Resident to deliver patient care using the nursing process, uphold patient rights and confidentiality, and coordinate care with the 5H Surgical team across departments.

This full-time night shift role (12-hour shifts) offers comprehensive benefits and attractive incentives, including sign-on bonuses up to $10,000 for experienced RNs and up to $7,500 for new grads, plus BSN/MSN bridging options.

Qualifications

• Graduated from a school of nursing (BSN, ASN, or Diploma).
• Missouri RN license and/or compact licensure required.
• Basic Life Support certification (or within 30 days of hire).
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and sustain prolonged standing/walking.

Position Details:

Registered Nurse or Graduate Nurse Resident

Location: Mercy Hospital Southeast, Cape Girardeau, MO

Department: 5H Surgical

Status: Full-Time - 36 hours/week

Shift: 12 Hour (Nights 1900-0730)

Qualifications:

• Required Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (BSN, Associate's Degree, or Diploma Program).
• Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current Missouri RN license and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed. Must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support certification or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire. Other unit specific certifications as required or acquisition of certification within department required timeframe.
• Other:Physical requirements/demands:
  • Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift.
  • Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
