Job summary

Mercy Hospital Southeast in Cape Girardeau, MO, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 5H Surgical unit. The role focuses on direct patient care across ages, with assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation, coordinating with teams to ensure optimal outcomes.

This full-time night shift (12-hour nights, 1900–0730) offers incentives including sign-on bonuses up to $10,000 for experienced nurses and up to $7,500 for new grads, plus bridging programs for further education.

Qualifications

• Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Missouri RN license and/or compact licensure required.
• BLS certification or obtained within 30 days of hire.

Job Profile Summary Performs direct patient care activities for all age groups to include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Monitors and coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort. Status: Full-Time - 36 hours/week

Shift: 12 Hour Nights (1900 - 0730)

• Must start with Mercy within 12-months of graduation.

Qualifications:

• Experience: None required.
• Required Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current Missouri RN license and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support certification or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire. Other unit specific certifications as required or acquisition of certification within department required timeframe.
• Other:Physical requirements/demands:
  • Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift.
  • Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
