Job summary

AdventHealth in Altamonte Springs, FL is seeking a Full-time Registered Nurse for day shifts (three 12-hour days, 7:00 am–7:00 pm) with weekend rotation. The role involves assessing patients, creating care plans, administering medications, and coordinating with the care team to ensure safety and quality of care.

The ideal candidate holds an ASN in Nursing, Florida RN license, BLS, and at least 6 months of RN experience.

Qualifications

• Associate of Science degree in Nursing (ASN) required.
• Current State of Florida or Multistate licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Minimum of six months of RN experience.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments across physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and regularly evaluate/revise as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments safely per physician orders and protocols; monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care.
• Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate and optimize patient care; ensure effective communication.
• Document patient information, care activities, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the medical record.
