AdventHealth in Altamonte Springs, FL is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse for nights (7:00 pm – 7:00 am) to join a compassionate, patient-centered team delivering high-quality care.

You will conduct comprehensive assessments, develop and revise care plans, administer medications, educate patients and families, and coordinate with medical staff to ensure safe, effective treatment. Florida RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS, AS degree in Nursing preferred.

Qualifications

• AS degree in Nursing required.
• Florida RN license or multistate license required.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• ER experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Job Description:

Full-time, 36 hours per week

Shift: Nights, 7:00 pm - 7:00 am (with weekend rotation)

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures
• Ability to work as a Team player within a unit
• Effective verbal and oral communication and problem-solving skills
• EKG competency

What You'll Need to Succeed:

• Associate of Science degree in Nursing
• Current State of Florida or Multistate licensure as a Registered Nurse
• One (1) or more years of experience as a Registered Nurse (Emergency Room experience preferred)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
