Job summary

AdventHealth Winter Park is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our acute care team. You will conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans while administering medications safely and educating patients and families.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• BLS required.
• Associate degree in nursing required; BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients across physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, revising as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately, monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications and self-care.
• Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate and optimize patient care and ensure effective teamwork.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the medical record.

Job Description:

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, care activities, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.
