Job summary

PAM Health Specialty and Rehabilitation Hospital of Covington is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver comprehensive patient care on the nursing unit. The RN will plan, coordinate, and supervise care, including discharge planning and patient/family teaching, under the direction of Nursing leadership.

Qualified candidates hold an active RN license (state or compact), current BLS, and ACLS within 90 days (ACLS for Charge Nurses). Prior inpatient med-surgical experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Holds a current RN license in the state where the hospital resides or compact licensure.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment and must be AHA approved.
• Charge Nurses must have ACLS.
• One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, direct, and supervise care to patients using the nursing process.
• Plan, coordinate, and provide patient care including discharge planning and family teaching.
• May perform other duties as assigned, including Charge Nurse responsibilities when ACLS is required.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse, the Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process while delivering, directing and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit. The Registered Nurse plans, coordinates, and provides patient care to include interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources. May perform other related duties as assigned or requested, including Charge Nurse (ACLS certification required).

Qualifications

Education and Training: Holds a current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates. Current BLS certification is required. Evidence of ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment. BLS and ACLS certifications must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment. Current ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses.

Experience: One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.
