Job summary

PAM Health Specialty Hospital of Stoughton is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join their team. In this role, you'll provide essential patient care and collaborate with various medical professionals to ensure the best outcomes for patients with complex needs.

The ideal candidate will possess a current RN license, BLS, and ACLS certifications, and should be prepared to engage directly with patients and families to provide education and support.

Qualifications

• Holds a current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse, the Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process while delivering, directing and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit.
• Provide direct patient care to medically complex and/or critically ill patients requiring extended hospitalization
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of medical professionals (Respiratory Therapists, Physical Therapists, Case Managers, Dietitians, Speech Language Pathologists, and more) to create and carry out individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families on disease processes, medications, discharge planning, and community resources
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and advanced wound care per physician order and protocols
• Manage complex comorbidities such as sepsis, cardiac issues, strokes, post-surgery recovery, and chronic illness management
• May perform other related duties as assigned or requested, including Charge Nurse (ACLS certification required).

Education and Experience

Education and Training: Holds a current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates. Current BLS certification is required. Evidence of ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment. BLS and ACLS certifications must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment. Current ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses.

Experience: One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.
