Job summary

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Hospital Authority seeks an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department. The Pineville ED Float position will operate across Pineville and three freestanding EDs, requiring regular float between facilities to ensure coverage and patient care.

Requirements include completion of an accredited nursing program, an active RN license, BLS certification, ACLS within 6 months of hire, and a minimum of 2 years in Emergency Department settings.

Qualifications

• RN license valid in the practicing state.
• BLS certification for Healthcare Providers required.

• 2+ years of Emergency Department experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Lead efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the ED continuum using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and effective communication.

Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department

• Where You Will Work:

  The Pineville ED Float position will have Pineville as the teammate's primary home location; however, the role requires flexibility to support staffing needs across multiple sites. Teammates in this position will be expected to float between all four facilities, including Pineville Emergency Department and the three freestanding emergency departments located in Steele Creek, Providence, and Ballantyne. Regular floating between these locations is a core requirement of the role to ensure appropriate coverage and patient care across the region.

  We're Looking For:

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing

• Candidates must have at least 6 months of RN experience, this position is not for new graduates

• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices

• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association

• ACLS required within 6 months of hire

• 2 years of Emergency Department experience required
