Job summary

Prime Healthcare seeks an experienced RN to join our Float Pool at Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago, IL. This role offers night shifts from 7:00pm to 7:30am, with 12-hour units flexibility across multiple departments to support patient care.

The incumbent will deliver comprehensive nursing care, coordinate patient teaching, and respond rapidly to changes in clinical conditions while ensuring safety and quality standards. A sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS (ARC/AHA) certificate.
• Current ACLS (ARC/AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire.
• Current PALS (ARC/AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire. (Only for floating into ER, OR, PACU, Day Patient.)
• NRP and Basic Fetal monitoring or AWHONN within 90 days for employees floating to Women’s Services.
• TNCC within 12 months of hire for employees floating to Emergency Department.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Able to float to two (2) or more units and maintain competency.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
• Provide a safe environment for patients and visitors.
• Communicate with physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. Current and valid state RN License

4. Current PALS (ARC/AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current. (Only required for floating into E.R., O.R., PACU, Day Patient.)
