Job summary

UT Health Carthage in Carthage, TX seeks a day shift, full-time Exercise Specialist RN to join the Cardiopulmonary Rehab Team. You will provide inpatient and outpatient care for cardiovascular and pulmonary patients, assessing and planning treatment, and conducting diagnostic testing as part of a comprehensive rehab program.

• Graduate of an approved RN school.
• Current professional licensure in the State of Texas for RN.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• The Clinical Exercise Specialist, RN is a valuable member of the Cardiopulmonary Rehab Team.
• The CES provides inpatient and outpatient care to patients with Cardiovascular and/or pulmonary disease.
• The CES will assess, plan, treat, and perform diagnostic testing on patients with cardiovascular/respiratory dysfunctions.
• Patients' development and implementation are the primary function of the CES consisting of patient education, rehabilitation, wellness program, health enhancement and Quality improvement.
