Job summary

UT Health Carthage Hospital in Carthage, TX invites you to join our Respiratory Therapy team as a PRN therapist. You will work under the Respiratory Care Supervisor to provide high-quality patient care for acute and chronic respiratory conditions in a hospital setting.

Requirements include graduation from a COARC-accredited program, Texas license, NBRC certification, and current BLS. ACLS and NRP must be completed within specified timeframes.

Qualifications

• Graduate from COARC accredited respiratory care program.
• Licensed practitioner by the State of Texas Medical Board.
• Certified Respiratory Therapist with the National Board for Respiratory Care.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care to those with acute and chronic respiratory problems under supervision.
• Follow established departmental policies and procedures.
• Perform duties related to General Therapy, Critical Care, Education, Processing Control, and Pulmonary Services Research and Leadership.

Responsibilities

Under the guidance of the Respiratory Care Supervisor and according to specific instructions and established departmental policies and procedures, provides patient care to those suffering from acute and chronic respiratory problems. Job duties and responsibilities are related to General Therapy, Critical Care, Education, Processing Control, Pulmonary Services Research, and Leadership.
