Job summary

UT Health East Texas is seeking an Exercise Specialist Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Cardiopulmonary Rehab Team in Carthage, TX. The CES provides inpatient and outpatient care for cardiovascular and pulmonary patients, conducting assessments, planning treatments, and performing diagnostic testing as part of a comprehensive rehabilitation program.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved RN program.
• Current Texas RN licensure.
• BLS certification within 14 days of hire.
• ACLS certification.
• ACSM certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient and outpatient care to patients with cardiovascular and/or pulmonary disease.
• Assess, plan, treat, and perform diagnostic testing for cardiovascular/respiratory dysfunctions.
• Lead patient education, rehabilitation, wellness programs, and quality improvement initiatives within Cardiopulmonary Rehab.
• Serve as a valued member of the Cardiopulmonary Rehab Team.
