Job summary

Mountainside Medical Center in Montclair, NJ is seeking a night-shift, full-time Emergency Department Registered Nurse. The RN will perform initial patient assessments, collaborate with physicians, administer medications, monitor vital signs, and provide patient education.

Qualifications

• 1+ years’ experience as staff RN in an acute care hospital setting.
• Valid New Jersey RN license.
• ACLS Certification.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• PALS Certification.

Responsibilities

• The RN is responsible for performing initial patient assessments and partnering with physicians to devise, implement, and evaluate plan of care, while administering medications, IV, monitoring vital signs, and educating patients on diagnosis and treatment options.
