Job summary

Ardent Health Services in Montclair, NJ is seeking a Night Shift ER Registered Nurse (PRN) to join our acute care team. You will perform initial patient assessments, collaborate with physicians, and contribute to care plans while delivering medications and IV therapy.

The role requires NJ RN license, ACLS/PALS, BLS, and at least 1 year of ER or acute care experience. BLS must be obtained within 14 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• 1+ year RN experience in an acute care hospital.
• Valid New Jersey RN license.
• ACLS Certification.
• BLS certification within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• PALS Certification.
• Preferred: BSN.
• Emergency Room setting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial patient assessments and collaborate with physicians on the plan of care.
• Administer medications and IV therapies.
• Monitor vital signs and respond to changes.
• Provide patient education on diagnosis, treatment options, and disease process.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• 1+ years’ experience as a staff RN in an acute care hospital setting.
• Valid New Jersey RN license.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
• Emergency Room setting experience.
