Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Mountainside Medical Center is seeking a Telemetry Intermediate Care Stepdown (IMCU) Registered Nurse for night shift. The role involves promoting patient health, collaborating with physicians and a multidisciplinary team, and supporting patients and families.

The ideal candidate has an RN license in NJ, at least 1 year in Med/Surg, ACLS/PALS and basic arrhythmia training, with BLS within 14 days of hire. Additional Epic experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing.
• 1+ year of RN experience in Med/Surg.
• NJ State RN license.
• ACLS within first 3 months.
• PALS within first 3 months.
• Basic Arrhythmia Training.
• Ability to initiate IV therapy, blood collection, point of care testing, EKG, phlebotomy within 3 months.
• Ability to manage a patient’s airway including mechanical ventilation.
• BLS within 14 days of hire or transfer.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing.
• Minimum of 1+ year of experience as an RN in Med/Surg settingCurrent valid NJ State professional Registered Nurse license.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)(obtainable within the first three months of employment).
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support(PALS)(obtainable within the first three months of employment).
• Successful completion of a Basic Arrhythmia Training.
• Ability to initiate IV therapy, blood specimen collection, point of care testing, perform EKG, phlebotomy (skills obtainable within the first three months of employment).
• Ability to manage a patient’s airway including us of mechanical ventilation.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in nursingExperience with Epic.
• 1+ year of experience as an RN in a hospital PACU or Critical Care UnitRate of pay is determined based on experience and education and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
