Job summary

AdventHealth Winter Garden in Florida is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our full-time team. You will conduct comprehensive assessments, develop care plans, administer medications, educate patients, and coordinate with the medical staff to ensure safe, high-quality care.

The position offers a sign-on and relocation assistance for eligible candidates, with opportunities for career growth through our Clinical Ladder program.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• RN license and BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments across physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and evaluate progress.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and protocols.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments and self-care strategies.
• Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate patient care and ensure effective communication.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the medical record.

Primary Job Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, care activities, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Education

• Associate's of Nursing [Required]
• Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]

Work Experience

• 1+ acute care hospital setting [Preferred]
• Endoscopy, PACU or PREOP experience required.

Licenses and Certifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
