Job summary

Centerpoint - Georgetown, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Endoscopy team. The role focuses on direct patient care using the nursing process, with responsibilities across pre- and post-procedure care.

Qualifications

• Current Kentucky or compact state RN license.
• Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care interventions including medication administration and treatments.
• Documents patient care and monitors patient condition with the care team.
• Assists with activities of daily living and coordinates transfers and discharges.
• Educates patient and family on conditions and care needs.
• Collaborates across disciplines to support comprehensive care.

Endo RN provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
• Documents patient care given.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current Kentucky or compact state RN license and possess an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

• Associates Degree in Nursing, Required
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Preferred
• License: Current RN to practice in the state of (KY)
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS & PALS- all within 6 months of hire
