Job summary

Centerpoint Health - Georgetown is hiring a PACU RN for a full-time position. The role involves delivering comprehensive perioperative care, medication administration, and patient monitoring in the PACU. The team emphasizes compassionate care and collaborative practice.

The ideal candidate will have a Kentucky RN license, an associate degree in nursing, and BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications, with a bachelor's in nursing preferred. A sign-on bonus is available for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Current Kentucky or compact RN license is required.
• Associate's degree from an accredited nursing program required.
• BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications are required.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration and other clinical tasks.
• Documents patient care provided and maintains accurate records.
• Monitors patient condition and communicates with care team and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary team for transfers, discharges, and referrals.
• Participates in ongoing education and quality improvement activities.

Most commonly we perform bariatrics, general, urology and GYN procedures. We have 2 Da Vinci robots and are proud to have recently added a team of vascular surgeons, expanding our scope of practice.

How you'll contribute

• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
• Documents patient care provided.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patients and families; provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts/units as needed.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What we're looking for

• Applicants should have a current Kentucky or compact state RN license and possess an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school.
• BLS ACLS and PALS required
• Associate's degree in nursing required; bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
